CNMM is co-organizing the 2011 China Drumbeat Hackfest, 23-25 March in Beijing
2011-03-02

The theme of the 2011 China Drumbeat is citizen science on the web, a growing trend which is also called "citizen cyberscience". Some of the world's leading developers in this field will be participating, like David Anderson, director of the famous SETI@home volunteer computing project. The CNMM project “Computing for Clean Water”, which is supported by IBM’s World Community Grid, is a pioneering example of citizen cyberscience in China, and will be a special focus topic of the event.
The event will be held at the Institute for Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
